Getting there: The hotel can arrange for transfers from the airport (surcharge). Express bus number 783 departs the airport every 15 minutes for the city centre. Tickets can be purchased from a kiosk in front of Arrivals’; a ticket valid for two journeys costs RON 4.50. Yellow taxis depart from the stand outside the terminal. The typical fare to the hotel is RON 40; travellers are advised to negotiate the fare with the driver before departing. All prices subject to change.
Driving directions: From the airport, drive into the city on the DN1. Continue straight down Kissellef Boulevard, past Victoria Square. Go along Lascar Catargiu Boulevard past Romana Square and Magheru Boulevard past University Square. Go down Bratianu Boulevard south until reaching Unirii Square. Continue straight, keeping right and take the tunnel. Turn right onto Marasesti Boulevard and continue to Park Carol I. Take a left around the park and go uphill for approximately 200 metres. Turn right onto Colonel Costescu Street and then right again after 50 metres onto Suter Alleey. The hotel is at the end of the street.
Getting around: Bucharest has a cheap integrated public transport network consisting of buses, trams, trolleybuses, and a metro. Tickets can be used on all forms of transport and must be validated when boarding.
